Mission Statement
The mission of the Carbon County Library Foundation Inc. is to raise and administer funds to provide financial assistance to the Carbon County Library System and to promote literacy in Carbon County. The citizens of Carbon County continue to benefit from the Library Foundation’s funding through the services our libraries offer, which are designed to meet cultural, recreational, or educational needs.
The Carbon County Library Foundation Inc. exists to encourage and administer gifts, endowments and memorials for the general library programs, or any specific items for the libraries and to sponsor programs designed to add to the cultural life of the community. It is not involved with the administration of the Library System itself.
Sponsorship program 2026
Since 1986, the Carbon County Library Foundation has provided a steady backbone of support ensuring that libraries across Carbon County have reliable funding for programs, technology, and resources year after year. This long-term commitment means that even in difficult times—like this year’s challenging budget cuts—libraries can count on a stable base of support. At the same time, we celebrate the new energy of community partnerships—Friends groups and the Library Board raising funds for staffing—showing how Carbon County comes together to protect the services we all value. Together, the Foundation’s steady hand and the community’s fresh momentum are keeping our libraries strong.
In the face of a 53% budget cut, every effort counts. Whether you choose to give directly to the Library System or to the Library Foundation, your gift helps ensure that Carbon County libraries continue to serve as essential, vibrant community spaces.
Foundation Meetings
Members of the Foundation Board are invited to remain on the board as long as they feel they can be a productive member.
It is expected that each member will faithfully attend monthly meetings and contribute time and talent to fundraising
and other activities as it is possible to do so.

Meetings are generally on the 4th Tuesday of the month

Free little LIBRARIES PROGRAM
The Carbon County Library Foundation (CCLF) offers this program to help establish Free Little Libraries in the communities of our county.
The purpose of this program is to encourage reading in Carbon County.
