The Makerspace is open during normal Rawlins Library hours, Monday through Friday. The Makerspace may be reserved for Library programs and unavailable for walk in use. To check availability, please visit our Rawlins Branch Location and Events page.
The Makerspace equipment is free to use. Supplies are not limited to the ones provided by the library. Some materials are available for purchase to use with specific equipment at a nominal charge.
Patron supplied materials are subject to Library approval before they may be used in our equipment.
The Makerspace is open during regular library hours.
The Carbon County Library System provides free, open, and equal access to ideas and information to all members of the community. This code is designed to foster an atmosphere of mutual respect and courtesy and applies to all individuals while on library property. Behavior becomes unacceptable when it interferes with other persons’ use of the library, when it could result in injury to oneself or others, or when it could result in loss or damage to customer or library property.

The Makerspace is reserved specifically for creating, inventing and learning. Patrons are welcome to use other areas in the Library to read, relax, or do other work not related to projects.
Users must be 18 years old OR supervised by a person of authority 18 years or older (parent, or legal guardian).
The Makerspace equipment is free to use. Supplies are not limited to the ones provided by the library. Some materials are available for purchase to use with specific equipment in order to maintain the integrity of the machinery.
The time limit is one hour for most pieces of equipment, but if no one is waiting to use the machine you may continue to use it.
Up to 8 people will be allowed in the area at one time. This could change based upon the activities in the space.
Food or beverages are not allowed in the Makerspace
Personal devices cannot be connected to the Makerspace equipment. You may use the Library’s public computers to create your designs for our existing equipment. The use of personal Flash drives is allowed to load your designs to our equipment when required.
The Makerspace can be booked by outside groups, not to exceed the maximum capacity.
Upon first visiting the Makerspace you will be asked to read and agree to the following waiver.
